When employed in GEM Plastics my main project at the start was the design and development of a 50L Beer keg, this included a blow moulded liner, and several injection moulded parts to be assembled together. I worked with the customers going out into the field to gather information and to give them a product that they will enjoy using and most importantly work well for them. I encountered many problems along the way and had to revert back to the development stage. None of the development work could have been done without customer input it was invaluable and taught me to work closely with customers. The product is now in the marketing stage and hope to produce the first 1,000 reusable plastic beer kegs soon.
