About
"Daria Makeeva is originally Russian but currently based in the Czech Republic. She is studying Fashion Design at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague and also works as a freelance illustrator. She uses her drawings to express the poetic moods of classical Russian literature. Her unusual style juxtaposes private feelings of melancholy and grief with the optimistic statements of Soviet sci-fi. These influences merge with a childlike spirit to create a modern drawing style. "

MgA Fashion and Footwear DesignAcademy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague2007 - 2013The MgA degree fashion project was chosen as one of the three fashion talents to open the Designblok' 13 Premiere Fashion Week. After this the collection was given a Czech Grand Design' 13 Award Nomination.
