Rachel Douglass

I was involved with the promotion of a bar and club that needed a team to come together to create promotion techniques and ideas to compete with others in the area. We produced a variety of ways and connected with the consumer, creating successful techniques that made a difference to consumer awareness of the bar.

Captain Ted's is a children's entertainment center I worked in that gave me experience in dealing first hand with different varieties of customers from children to their parents their grandparents. I was given responsibilities such as organizing parties and gained team working skills. I was in an environment that involved the coming together of employee ideas to improve the image of the company.

I did work experience for a week at Crystal Martin who are responsible for designing a variety of clothing essentials for the likes of Marks & Spencers clothing. For a week I oversaw the product creation process, from research to the final prototypes, in a professional environment. This involved aspects from the creation of prints, a tour of their prototype factory and a final design selection meeting. I developed a strong understanding for the process behind creating fast fashion clothing and learnt more about how a product goes from the design to the shelves.
