Rachel Marsilia

Rachel Marsilia, IDSA, is a design student at Appalachian State University. She is graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Design. She has been on the dean’s list every semester. This will be her fourth year on the triathlon team. Last year she was the Club Sports representative for the team. Rachel looks forward to furthering her knowledge by becoming part of the outdoor product design world.

Philosophy

I believe in designing simple yet highly effective products. I have a desire to reach my highest potential in all that I do as well as expand my knowledge of the world in any way that I can. I want to provide products to improve the user experience when they are participating in a preferred activity. The conservation of the environment has had an influence on my design process which I look to further incorporate.
