This was my first game for mobile platforms. It was coded using Java and the J2ME SDK.
In The Flood, the player is faced with a board containing pieces of pipes. Some are straight and some are curved. The objective of the game is to rotate the pipes to pump water from the left side to the right side of the board.
Completing a section of pipes drains water out of the base and scores points for the player, but also destroys the pipes used. New pipes are generated and fall into the empty spaces to begin another play.
After the player has completed a scoring chain, the water tank is emptied, a new set of pipes are generated and the flood inscreases its speed.
The following techniques have been implemented :
Game State Management;
Spritesheet Animation;
Recursive Evaluation of the game status;
Playing sound effects.
Implementation of the Flood Wave algorithm.
