Cover illustration created for Paper Lanterns, published by The Sun magazine. The image was created using Daz3D Studio, with additional post-processing in Photoshop. North Atlantic Books, an imprint of Random House, selected this image for the cover of their Summer 2011 book catalog.
This image was created for a women's health newsletter distributed by Alamance Regional Medical Center, printed as a duotone in black and one PMS color. The image was hand-drawn, with additional textures composited in Photoshop. It accompanied an article about the ten most-necessary medical tests for women. My fellow staffers labeled me a multi-arm fetishist after I produced this and the Coffee Kali image (also in this portfolio) in the space of one year.

From Spectrum magazine, this image features hand-drawn line art and post-scan textures applied in Photoshop. It was for a short article about how much caffeine consumption is considered safe... which happened to be a matter of great personal interest at the time.
Cover illustration for ANSI's Accessible Housing Design File, 1990. While the typography (which I was not involved with) hasn't aged particularly well, I'm still proud of the image and the work that BFE, Inc. did. Ink and watercolor media.
Illustrations from ANSI's Accessible Housing Design File, 1990. An illustration-heavy page, emphasizing that accessible design is of benefit to ALL. These were part of a manual for architects and builders, and as such, were done in the standard style of the profession. I did my best to make the humans (and animals) look like real individuals, rather than generic figures.
