As Art Director for The Sun, my primary responsibility has been the design and print production of a monthly publication that reached 80M subscribers nationwide; requiring art direction, design, photo editing, and pre-press skills. My work in this regard led to an invitation to present at the Southeastern Society For Photographic Education Conference in 2010.

I also conceptualized and designed direct-mail pieces, magazine wraps and inserts, and in-house materials, occasionally in collaboration with freelance designers. I was also responsible for the design and production of books published under the Sun imprint, and providing content for The Sun's digital edition and website.

As part of the Public Relations department, I was responsible for providing print design services to the entire hospital and its allied facilities. This included both in-house materials, patient literature, advertising, and community outreach materials. I was also involved with conceptualizing radio and television spots. In 1996, I designed and built the hospital's first comprehensive public website, which won three consecutive E-Healthcare Gold meals for General Excellence.

I began work as a graphic designer, working on a variety of catalog, packaging, and technical illustration projects. I was promoted to Art Director of the Performance Bicycle catalog in 1994, which at that time was mailing over one million copies a year. I received extensive 4-color press and pre-press training, and was responsible for color press checks. I was also responsible for conceptualizing, coordinating and directing studio and outdoor photo shoots, and managing workflow across a three-person staff.
