It all started when my CV landed on the desk of David Little, Creative Director of Davies Little Cowley and still one of the best ideas men I've ever met. The agency had won the Brands Hatch account the day before. Right time, right place... wrong job. They could only offer me a junior account exec job. But getting your foot in the door is the hardest challenge of all in advertising. So I accepted. Six months later and I'd persuaded David to let me forget about bags and carry a pen and pad instead.
The rest isn't history... it's happening right now.
So here's a quick rundown of my current responsibilities, activities, aspirations and interests...
o I'm the lead copywriter at CST The Gate and one of the main pitch presenters in the creative department
o I also act as creative director on some clients for which I’ve taken ownership
o My work involves through-the-line, integrated advertising and branding projects
o I also have wide experience of online advertising and social media – rich media display ads, emails and writing for websites
o I have written brand guidelines for Prudential, Scottish Widows and Friends Provident
o I work closely with the account directors and planners and am fully client facing
o I am comfortable working as part of a team, with designers or acting as my own art director
I am interested in exploring opportunities to head up a creative department either agency side or in-house.
