Kodak CR800 XRay Cassette Scanner - This product scans images captured on reusable film-less cassettes enabling immediate review, electronic distribution, retrival from and storage in patient files. Working with 2 engineers, I was able to reflect configuration options in simple mockups. I engaged additional designers and developed this product with a larger team of Marketing, Business and Engineering peers.

Concept for Scaleable Scanner - What would happen if we could radically miniaturize products like the CR800 XRay Scanner ? (shown in this portfolio). We could "dis-integrate" the product hardware so systems could be customized for non-traditional applications, using appropriately sized mating components. This scan engine would represent the basic building block.

Kodak Finished Prints in Seconds - In order to extend the benefits of film, Kodak created a walk-up station that allows the retail customer to drop in an exposed roll of film and within 60 seconds be able to view their images. The images are written to CD for customer review, enhancement and printing on an adjacent station. I created this rendering using a photograph of a full-size cardboard mockup. Working with a multi-functional development team, the design was commercialized within an aggessive schedule.

Miniature Controller - Radiologists work for long periods screening digital images of patient XRays using standard computer hardware. Complaints of Repetetive Stress Syndrome lessen their effectiveness. A Human Factors engineer and I researched user environments, added other Industrial Designers to the team and created this integrated controller/navigator to replace the mouse, keyboard and zoom control, allowing users to reposition themselves for comfort.
Kodak i200 Series Document Scanner - This is a document scanner used by offices that process large amounts of paper documents (bank branches, insurance agents, etc.). Scanning speed is as high as 90 sheets per minute, front and back sides. The design objective was to create a unique appearance supporting the long-term design strategy goal of bringing the former back-room appliance into the front office.
