RIght now, it is a one man show, where I am involved in doing everything, starting right from defining the problem and building the solution via design. Also building the team.

My responsibility includes:
Applied UI/UX principles to drive the product design that fully support end-user needs while also achieving the business goals. Lead interface design processes by creating visualisations, task flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Injected Lean UI/UX paradigms into Agile development processes significantly improving the productivity of team and overall collaboration, while placing the user at the core of the lifecycle to solve the problem.

Collaboration with engineering team to maintain a style guide to ensure more uniform interactions and design decisions. Met with internal stakeholders and external users to preview design decisions and create productive experiences within the product. Played pivotal role in changing the UX for payments page for m-web which resulted in 34% revenue jump. Chatbot for MyAirtel was a key initiative which guided the user to solve their problems, across LoB, on the app itself for a better user experience, and it not only reduced the load on call centres but also saved lots of money for the company.

At airtel we have products ranging from financial, selfcare to entertainment. Taking care of all internal & external products be it apps, web or mobile web.

A startup that was funded jointly by Softbank & Bharti, and it was a great learning curve. Having experience producing hands-on and leading production of tidy & thorough UX deliverables. At Ignite World (formerly BSB), Headed UI & UX for Apps (specifically iPhone & Android) & mobile sites. Worked on lots of airtel initiatives (specially Apps). Launched "Airtel Money - A wallet app" for Android. I was part of the smart devices innovation group, responsible for designing innovative experiences for different applications for current and next generation mobile phones. A true problem solver.

Kept coming up with new ideas if old ones aren’t working; Was flexible enough to know when something isn’t working and tactfully lobby for the best solution :) . Daily, I keep up on current important ideas in UX, front-end development, visual design, and technology arts and sciences.

Lead the UI team to meet the requirements of internal & external clients with ease. Making the product usable with good user experience. Defined the design guidelines for the company to make the entire product look classy & part of the same family. Created more opportunities for ad sales team to generate revenue. Launched the all new NDTV.com website, with better UI, functionalities and user experience. My work also required working in close coordination with different teams for developing new products through various stages like Conceptualization, Wireframes, User Designs, Converting interface designs into live web pages by creating XHTML templates (including CSS).

Launched the business website NDTVProfit.com, it has been appreciated by many for its better user experience. Have worked on & launched several new products under the NDTV Convergence banner like NDTV Social, NDTVCricket.com, NDTVGoodtimes.com & many more. Also worked on SmartTV apps for NDTV news & NDTV Goodtimes. Played a pivotal role in creating the experiences & interactions for Astro Awani's digital journey (web, iPhone, iPad & Android) while I was representing design from NDTV's side. Astro Awani is a Malaysian news channel.

Widgetisation of the NDTV content and making the content available on almost all the platform (mobile, hand held devices, etc.) is one of the key areas where am focusing in a big way. Handling design of mobile applications & wap sites. Applications made for operators & handset manufacturers by associating wap, sms, mobile TV and interactivity. Worked on the iPhone, iPad & Android apps for NDTV, which not only won accolades internationally but also won hearts of the users.

Lastly, as Team Leader, I am responsible for supervising a young, dynamic and highly talented team. Always try to push the team for betterment and develops responsibilities in each and every member, so that they can be groomed to the next level.
