I designed TraveLuxe, a bimonthly email newsletter for a travel agent who specialized in luxury experiences - destination weddings, honeymoons, adventure, and Asian travel. This playful layout reflected the client's vivacious personality and engagement with her readers. In 2008, email design typically had a boxy feel, so I used angles and design elements to add playful movement and adventure. Images were presented as postcard snapshots next to article excerpts in the style of a travel scrapbook.
Additional travel touches included turning the then-standard "forward this email to a friend" link into a postcard and presenting the company's contact information on a luggage tag, using HTML & CSS to maximize accessibility.
The client was thrilled!
