I am currently in my fifth year at the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati studying Industrial Design. When I am not in studio you could find me at the gym or running a lap or two around campus, and I am always looking for a reason to try out new sports or exercise techniques. I try and show my passion for fitness in my school work. While my careers goals or choices change quiet a bit, currently I am looking into the medical supply and sport equipment industries.

Industrial DesignerFreelance Researcher & Industrial DesignerDec 2013 - Present (12 years 6 months)I am currently working in tandem with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center's Sports Division to develop a sideline concussion assessment system. I currently lead the design aspect of the team and assist in writing and preparing the grant applications.

Industrial Design Co-opMedical Device EngineApr 2013 - Aug 2014 (1 year 4 months)Industrial Design Intern at the Medical Device Engine, located in the University Hospital Emergency Department. I work on design research, which includes gathering, analyzing and synthesizing data, and coming up with design requirements for new medical products. I am also in charge of making sure that subjects in the research studies identities are protected. My duties also include helping doctors within the Emergency Department work on their projects.

As an Industrial Design Intern I performed a number of duties. One being design research, which included literature reviews, researching competitive and analogous products, and creating use scenarios. After initial research was done, I assisted with concept development, standards reviews, and preparing for the initial user testing. I also created icons for software, business and product logos.

Cleaned and inspected parts and took inventory. Also worked in the machine shop running CNC mills and lathes, and polished molds in the foundry.
