Sami Gaston studied art up and down the west coast and settled in Portland Oregon where she makes work inspired by Japanese wood blocks, French printmaking and fashion illustration.

  Before transitioning into Hispanic Studies I was a fine arts major with a strong background in painting drawing and ceramics. Completing one semester in the Dominican Republic, focusing on social service and cultural awareness and a second language immersion program in Chile.
