  • About

Throughout my past I have actively enjoyed and been involved with design. My knowledge, confidence and capabilities across this field continue to grow, with vast enthusiasm and focus to prove myself in any task put before me. I have demonstrated through my time on placement and during my latest project that I am competent at communicating effectively with professionals across industry. I have a positive, focused work ethic, always applying all my potential to my work and always having time to help other members of the team.

  • Education
    • 1st Class BSc (Hons) Product Design Product Design
      Bournemouth University
      2011 - 2015
My time at university has allowed me to discover my full potential and understand Product Design from an industry perspective. It has given me a unique set of skills ranging from CAD and communication with industry, to test rigging and prototyping and has allowed me to prove my effectiveness in this field.
  • Experience
    • CAD Designer
      Princess Yachts International plc.
      Plymouth, United Kingdom
      Aug 2015 - Present (10 years 10 months)
Continuing on from my placement year, I have been involved in concept and detailed design development of many recent projects such as the Princess 49, 75, and S60. This also entails productionising concepts and developing detailed drafts for production.
    • CAD Designer
      Princess Yachts
      Plymouth, United Kingdom
      Jul 2013 - Jul 2014 (1 year)
Working at Princess was a steep learning curve that taught me much about drafting and modelling at a
professional level. I have learnt about the importance of targets and checkpoints so others in the business,
such as purchasing and the boat manufacturing line, can plan ahead with some certainty. I was able to expand
my knowledge on timber and metalwork production as well as learning advanced and efficient CAD modelling
      and manipulation techniques.

During my time at Princess I was able to work on some exciting and unique products and was able to see my
true potential for working in a design and manufacturing environment through the responsibilities I was given
when working in both large group and individually focused projects.
