Footwear Design Coordinator.
In charge of footwear design/development for Garvalin, Biomecanics and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada shoes collection.

footwear designer (M-W-K) for the Company's own brands (Conguitos, D-Franklin, B&W, Mercredy) for European market.

-since March of 2005 at present, I’m teaching footwear design, in the chair of Silvia Barretto, at Buenos Aires University, Argentina. But since March of 2012, I was appointed as Acting Head of Practical Works.


Work description:

-Correction of moodboards.
-Teaching the requirements of footwear according the user proposed by each student.
-Teaching the theory of footwear design.
-Teaching the theory of footwear construction and pattern.
-Following the design process of each student.
-Correcting every class and guiding the students to reach their goals.
-Final projects corrections.
-In charge of 40 student, approximately per course.

-At present, I’m working as “Senior footwear designer”, since Feb. of 2009 for L.A. Gear, Avia and Nevados brands at Claden S.A., which is an Argentinean company licensed to market these products locally and produce its own developments.
Despite my position, my real job also includes footwear developments, to program the entire collection for the coming seasons and o check the quality control of productions.


Work description:

-Planning the collection for the coming seasons.
-Programming the developments depending the profile of each factories.
-Proposing new trends and products depending on the market and our consumer’s profile.
-Concepts designs.
-Strategic design for kids, women and men.
-Footwear developments.
-Colours and materials combinations following the new trends.
-Product specs and technical drawing.
-Working in team with my designer assistant and in partnership with different areas (marketing, sales, factories).
-Following of the developments and corrections of samples through pictures sending by e-mails and/or with samples and travelling to these factories.
-Having a constant communication with factories to ensure that the samples are following the specifications and that they will be delivered on time.
-Having a constant communication with suppliers to ensure that materials and colours are available and will be delivered on time. If not, finding a quick solution depending on the stock of colours and materials
-Quality control of production.


-Full understanding in all aspects of footwear development and production with different processes and materials (upper construction and lasting processes) and knowledge of manufacturing processes of soles, with plastics, rubbers, EVA, TPR and other engineering materials.

-Footwear Designer at Latin Shoes S.A., since Feb. 2007 to Feb. 2008, for Stone, Dufour, Pampili and Event brands.
