I've worked in newspaper, magazine and web production for nearly 20 years. I understand what makes a story compelling and, whether I'm the writer, editor or designer, it's always my goal to make the reader remember the story. I enjoy projects that require a hard-working person who understands the power of great content.

My current gigs include managing and editing the Stone Soup blog for FoodandNutrition.org, designing magazine layouts for Advocate Publishing, and writing stories for Health & Wellness magazine. A list of all the companies I've freelanced for is below.

CLIENTS INCLUDE: I-News Network, Food & Nutrition Magazine (ongoing), HomeFoodSafety.org (site redesign and blog developement), Dallas-based Advocate Magazines (design consultant and newsletter editor), Health & Wellness magazine (writer), Modern in Denver magazine (writer), High Country News (designer), Seven Little Mexicans (blog brand development), Guiding Wealth Financial (designer), TMR Direct (designer), The InSource Group (editor), Spatial Dev (writer/editor), University Parent Media (designer) and more.

Specialties: Writing and editing, design, social media strategies, media relations, Web content development, research, proofreading

Because the Advocate has a small staff, I also functioned in a PR capacity, acting as the direct link to many of our readers and other community liaisons. Was also a go-to person when needed ... for example, when the magazines were down a production person, I filled in designing pages and ads, making book corrections, etc.
