Responsible for the design and construct of the Dalai Lama's 80th birthday cake that was to be presented to him during the celebration tour at the Honda Center, July 5, 2015. Graphic illustration of the cake, including flowers and robe/sash, which the culinary staff used as inspiration and guide for applying the final touches. 3D model of cake for schematic and parts breakdown. Created an assembly plan for day-of-event assembly. Illuminated the cake from below with LED lights reflecting on 100 cu.in. of gold leafed acrylic. Several news articles documented the process and the result.
