About
I am an alert and proactive designer, fabricator, and furnishings addict. My brain fires in different ways than most and makes me naturally think outside of the box. I intuitively gravitate toward the unique and different and easily find market niches that need to be filled. I also thrive on human interaction, learn kinesthetically and build bridges easily. People like me and I like them.
I thoroughly enjoy bringing new products to market. I am absolutely thrilled to have designed and now produce a line of reclaimed wood furnishings that is being sold nationally online and in select retailers locally. Feel free to check out our work at www.silicatestudio.com.

Our product lines are available at SEED Peoples' Market, Robert Westley Gallery, Dot&Bo and One Kings Lane. I do too much to list here in any detail. Suffice it to say, this is a thoughtful, strategic, labor of love that truly challenges all of us that are involved in it.

We also designed and built custom cabinets and millwork as well as general home repairs and remodels. I sold, sourced, project managed, hired, fired, invoiced, ordered, supplied, delivered, built, repaired, moved, heard complaints, problem solved and sometimes even 'played therapist.' In other words, I did everything. I am great with people and with time management as a result. Running this company was the most influential and educational job experience I have had thus far. Scenic Carpenter & PainterThe Laguna PlayhouseNov 2001 - May 2003 (1 year 6 months)Built and painted theater sets under the direction of the lead carpenter and scenic artist. Gained an in depth understanding of wood construction, metal fabrication, tools and and tool safety, patinas and coatings, textures and texturing techniques, patinas, faux techniques, materials, sourcing, harwdare, and generally all the small stuff that goes into building new theater sets every 6 weeks.
