My introduction to the world of Graphic Design began in 2005, when I completed a Diploma in Information Technology at a business college in Brisbane. I was keen to enter the work-force as soon as possible, so I accepted a role as an apprentice in my home-town of Warwick. Here, I was industry-trained in the areas of Graphic Design and Pre-press operations. This work was invaluable as it gave me the confidence to move forward and accept the role of Head of Graphics at a major printing company on the Gold Coast.
Within a creative industry like Graphic Design, I found it imperative to move on and expand my expertise. On this basis, I accepted the role of Head of Graphics/Production Manager at a large commercial print company in Townsville, North Queensland. I occupied this position for two years, after which time, I decided it was time to satisfy my other desire in life, which is to travel.
In April 2013, I arrived in the United Kingdom and spent the greater part of last year travelling. At the beginning of 2014, I accepted a short contract position in Kentish Town, London. In this position, I was head of Graphics and Digital Print Operations. Given the eight years I have worked in the Graphic Design industry, I consider I have amassed a great deal of experience in all aspects of graphic design and digital print operations.
