Amficruiser-Concept designs for an amphibious motor home - My final thesis project. Also a submission by a Finnish inventor, who wanted to
1) have an interview study about the needs of a certain target group regarding to the processes innovation.
2) explore the design aesthetics and semantic nature of the innovation. The goal was to make a vast amount of alternative early concepts, which were then evalued by members of a target group.
The final thesis was a joint project with designer Inga Piekkola.
The design part was a joint project with me, Inga Piekkola, Jari Anttonen, Jussi Miettinen and Pim Zweijnburg.

a prototype for Honeywell Printa: a control workstation for a newspaper printing machine - Largest product design project I did during my studies at Kuopio Academy of design.
A joint project with designer Tuomas Antinjuntti.
The client wanted to renew their existing product designed in the early '90s. The new design is based on extensive user interviews and usability evaluations done by the designers. Several rounds of innovative concept designs were evalued, then the selected one was given ergonomical dimensions. After a scale model stage a 1:1 shape model was made, again by the designers. This led to making necessary tools for manufacturing, thus resulting this prototype here. The product is in production and has been successfully delivered to newspaper printing facilities all over the world.

One of my alternative suggestions for a simple, cheap and practical device for cleaning the sight of an assault rifle from snow.
This design won the national conscript's innovation contest Innoint 2004. The 3000€ award was handed over by the president of Finland.
