Mechatronics: Basketball Bot

This is a team project for my graduate Mechatronics class (ME 210). The bot makes use of Arduino, circuitry, op amps, and motors. In addition, Mechanical Design (Soildworks) was employed to build the bot to required specifications. This project combined Electrical Systems, Software, and Mechanical Engineering. We were tasked with creating a machine that had to hit a rail in order to receive NERF balls, then subsequently shoot or dunk the balls into mini hoops. Our bot had a variety of sensors and included a complex IR signial amplifier in order to let the bot know when to shoot. PWM for motors were used in the shooter flywheels and for the drivetrain in order to be accurate.
