Spray PainterHighland Colour CoatersDuties included pre-treatment and spray painting of all types of structural steel and aluminium which sees the steel and aluminium passed through a series of treatment tanks such as phosphate and acid tanks for steel and chromate and acid tanks for the aluminium. This etched the surface which ensures the powder coating adheres to its surface better. Also keeping my work area clean and tidy and taking samples from treatment tanks on occasion. Spray PainterMartec EngineeringDuties included powder coating within a spray booth to paint all types of structural steel and aluminium extrusions used on signs. Also loading the production line prior to painting and keeping the spray booth to a high standard of cleanliness so to prevent any contamination of paint.

Ground WorkerW.H. MalcolmDuties included carrying out all types of ground works such as installing lateral drainage systems for artificial football pitches. Undertaking the laying of slabs and kerbs around the perimeter of the pitch before filling with type one hard core in preparation for astro turf grass being laid.

Refuse CollectorNorth Lanarkshire CouncilPresentDuties included uplifting domestic refuse bins as part of a 3 man crew. Following daily route sheets and pull out service sheets, keeping the cab of lorry clean, and dealing with members of the public on a daily basis.

Graphic Design InternSalon NV MagazineGlasgow, United KingdomOct 2016 - Nov 2016 (1 month)Graphic design internship lasting one month. My duties included working and learning under the resident graphic designer cutting out images using Adobe Photoshop in preparation for being placed into the magazine spread. Also learned a little about creating magazine layouts using Adobe InDesign.
