Illustrator & Creative WriterSelf-employed IllustratorJun 2012 - Present (14 years)Hi, my name is Oli (AKA Stegosaurus). I am a digital painter fascinated by the fantastic and the anomalous. My influences include everything from ‘80s Saturday morning cartoons to stuff I see in museums, and from early pulp sci-fi covers to the esoteric knowledge traditions of the ancient world. Combinations of these feature in the illustrations that I create for poster designs, book covers, picture books, t-shirts, or whatever else I happen to be working on. The images that I create are populated by a cast of unusual characters and feature a level of detail which rewards repeated viewing with a new discovery each time. As a postgraduate of literature, I am also an author of adult fiction, poetry and children’s books.

Awards Production AssistantD&ADJan 2013 - Apr 2013 (3 months)• Provided support and assistance to D&AD’s prestigious international judging panels for the Crafts for Design and Digital Design categories of the D&AD Professional Awards.
• Liaised with designers and art/creative directors in order to resolve issues, handle enquiries and ensure the efficiency of the Awards entry process.
• Quality checked printed, moving image, stills and web-based design work.
• Processed and catalogued digital and physical Awards entries.
• Prepared, and provided general support and assistance at, the 2013 judging event & exhibition.
• Administered and coordinated Digital Design judging sessions at the judging event at Olympia. -
