LEAF Project 001

This little leaf simply would NOT get off my car's hood. It stayed perfectly balanced through 17 miles of "regular" driving. The leaf exhibited zero lift or downforce. After making sure it was not stuck to my hood with any surface friction from moisture, I concluded that a Y-foil of air above the leaf, was perfectly offset by an inverse Y-foil of air running underneath the leaf. The leaf was scanned into 3D, run through a Computational Fluid Dynamics machine, and I'm only beginning to tap the usefulness of the interesting little gift life threw me. Design ideas are currently for the support structures for wind towers, as well as ventilation for consumer products.
