    Hi! I’m Samantha.

    I consider myself to be extremely fortunate, because my ‘job’, in all its glory, basically entails doing what I love. While I handle many aspects of design management, I call myself a designer, because at the core of every brand I’ve launched or resurrected, it all starts with one visual idea that later blossoms into an entire brand identity.

    As a designer, I get to work both independently and in a team on everything from conceptualization and sketching to fabric development, garment construction, and product packaging. And that’s only the beginning. I’ve managed teams both small and large and I’ve traveled the world ensuring that what we design in-house comes through in every wash house and fabric manufacturer I work with.

    I’ve had the opportunity to oversee wildly successful brands such as The Kardashian Kollection, Nicki Minaj and LEI to name a few. But whether I’ve helped develop a line or conceived one from scratch, I take my job seriously, because it’s much more than a job to me, it’s a career choice that I made when I was a teenager and it's one that I look forward to growing with my entire life.

    I could list the obvious of being “a highly organized team player,” or “detail-oriented leader”, but those adjectives should be expected, not celebrated. I’ve had the privilege of being named employee of the year and I am loyal to my co-workers beyond imagination, but I go above and beyond my position to ensure the job is done, because I believe that I should be judged by what goes out into the world and not the necessary responsibilities it takes to get them there.

      Designed and launched LEI Girls division and introduced LEI Juniors and Girls brands (Bottoms Soft Bottoms Jackets Tops and Dresses) into Walmart. * LEI became Jones Jeanswear's most profitable junior & girls brand in North America earning over $350 million during my 6 years designing the line
    • Asia and Europe
      Direct teams of designers graphic designers and cad artists define key looks color direction and seasonal items * Supervise and mentor designers in order to fast-track professional growth and create a positive and productive working environment * Partner with Merchants and Sales personnel to strategize business objectives and milestones * Create time and action calendar for all fabric and silhouette direction color and concept proto review and adoption * Regularly shop for trends and inspiration major markets such as * Travel to Asia to identify potential fast tracks and efficient workflow measures * Develop new wash techniques with local laundries and R&D teams on a regular basis * Attend all fittings to approve fits and organized regular comp fittings to ensure all fits are trend right * Conduct daily communication with overseas offices for all development and execution details * Prepared flat sketches and tech packs for factories to execute correct samples * Sketch and cad detailed line sheets used for sales and buyer presentations * Develop artwork and trims for product packaging * Comment and approve all lab dips, samples, trims and production submits from factories * Oversee all aspects of presentation from boards to proto to trend and market direction

      Responsible for launching Kardashian Kollection-Premium Denim Design, Nicki Minaj denim division and the Suede Junior contemporary brand. Directly designed new collections for Bongo Denim & Wovens, Material Girl Denim, Metaphor Denim, GLO Jeans Juniors & Girls, Grane Denim, True Freedom Denim, Energie Juniors & Girls Denim & Wovens. * My collective brands earned over $400 million dollars in sales * Kardashian Kollection garnered a 8-10% sell-thru per week at Sears (normally 3-5%) * Nicki Minaj received a 6.9% sell-thru per week at K-Mart and sold $350k in the first week * Named 2012 Employee Of The Year (nominated by peers)
