James Johnson

I wear quite a few hats. My experience has allowed me to design sets for the State Theatre of North Carolina; to direct, produce, and shoot documentaries; to design playbill books, show posters, billboards and specialty brochures for clients all over the country; I'm a photographer, graphic designer and video editor; and I have designed and coded lots of web sites, edited feature films, short films and documentaries, and I love to climb mountains. My organizational and idealistic approach has allowed me to be incredibly successful with each of these endeavors.

While I have many skills and expertise, my bread and butter is Art Direction. I believe that having a working knowledge of many aspects of design gives me a hand up in this field. I approach my work idealistically and I love creating things that are new and never been done. I believe in strengthening and adapting design ahead of the game. I believe that, with the right people, we don't have to wait to see where design is headed, we can set the bar, we can define the future.
