I am part-time student at John Deere at the Product Engineering Center in Waterloo, Iowa while studying at the University of Northern Iowa. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Technologies. I have attained exposure in large and small companies to develop my skills in the graphic communications industry. My dedication and hard work drive me as an employee, student, and individual providing me with a strong desire to succeed in my endeavors.
As the third largest manufacturing industry in the world, the graphic communications industry is constantly changing. After taking core classes in the field, I acquired skills in my first professional position as a graphic design intern for Happy Joe's, Inc. where I created a variety of promotional and advertising materials for regional distribution. Following, I began working for John Deere under the User Experience team. My projects involved the creation and manipulation of vector graphics and icons for user interfaces entering production. I now work for Chassis Engineering completing various technical tasks and enhancing multiple SharePoint sites. I also take the opportunity to assist other departments as well with various projects.
I continuously seek opportunities to expand my professional network. I am an active member of the "Students Connecting Students" resource group at John Deere. This student-led committee is dedicated to integrating 160+ students at all six John Deere Waterloo locations. Our mission is "to provide helpful and useful resources for students to utilize that will add value to their work and enhance their experience at John Deere." I am also on the "WomenREACH" Development committee at John Deere. I contribute to diligent planning and hosting of quarterly events, such as coordinating guest speakers and leadership events while managing the team SharePoint site.
At UNI, I serve as the Public Relations Director of Panther Pacers running club, and I am an active member of the UNI Advertising Club.
