Menswear woven designer:

o Trends and Market Research: Gathering relevant information on themes, colors and silhouettes from trend forecasting sites, media and influential cultural and social events. Analyzing impact of trends on local market through sales figures. Planning of the collection with information gathered from fashion and market perspective.
o Designing: Developing idea from mood board through sketch to sample phase following fashion trends and market needs. Close cooperation with technical designer on resolving sizing and technical issues and graphic designer on development of artwork applied on garment and accessories.
o Product development: Working together with two major departments; purchasing department on sample development, fabric, patterns and accessories to production and communication with foreign suppliers (China, Bangladesh, India and Turkey). Collaboration with technical designers on sample development and preparing technical specifications for foreign production, fitting and sample presentation. Denim collection and part of the woven collection was produced by company’s own factory and wash facility what required close relationship with pattern makers, technologists and wash specialists in wash facility. Important segment of sample development was visiting suppliers and their facilities abroad.

Menswear technical designer:

o Market Research: Research of current market trends regarding fits and silhouettes; incorporating research results into product development.
o Technical development: Working on technical development of product following designer’s sketch; providing technical solutions, size ranges, size charts and leading sample fittings
o Quality control: Reviewing and controlling QC reports from factories against received goods, reporting to merchandiser manager and assessing need for claims in case of received good with unsatisfactory quality
o Systems used: Microsoft office, Excel, Corel Draw, PLM system

Menswear woven designer:

o Assistant at design studio working on various aspects of the craft ranging from designing sketches through pattern making to execution of a product.
