Faces and Flower - This image was originally created for the Hudson Belk Teen Fashion Board. A group of local high school students with a shared interest in the fashion industry. I hand-sketched the art and colored it in Illustrator. This image was not used in the final, but I keep it around because I find it interesting.
Father and Child - I had imagined the composition for this abstracted image and decided that Photoshop was the perfect tool for the job. Personal image. Not in print.
Olympic Gold Medal - Illustration created for use on t-shirts and catalogs to celebrate the 2004 Olympic gold brought home by the USA Women's Soccer team.
PSP Game Splash Screen Concept - This splash-screen concept and the next five images after were for a game being developed for the Sony PSP. The pencil drawings were supplied by other artists. I created the font from a sketch (yes, on a napkin) supplied by the game's creator. After creating the typeface, I just assembled everything into what you see here. The game was being built by volunteers. Unfortunately, everyone lost interest and it never made it to production.
Meeku's Quest Game Art Concept - This knife set belongs to Malice. He was to be the anti-hero in the now defunct Meeku's Quest game. These weapons are designed as quick-opening knives that Malice would use in pairs. Inserting his middle fingers into the holes in the handles and spinning them wildly during combat. I used Illustrator and Photoshop to create these images.
Meeku's Quest Game Art Concept - This sword image was created as an optional unlockable item for the Meeku's Quest game. It belongs to a character named Gunter. I created this image first by building vector art forms in Illustrator and then bringing those parts into Photoshop for assembly and rendering.
Meeku's Quest Game Art Concept - I used the same creation process for this sword as in the previous two images. This sword belongs to Meeku, the title character, and I received the ultimate compliment from one of the programmers when he described this image as "god-like!"
Meeku's Quest Game Art Concept - More weaponry from the game project. Two concepts for a sword belonging to a character named Gaali. He is an aristocratic sort and carries a flashier weapon. The top version is more what the game director wanted. He felt the lower image was a bit too heavy. I like them both! I created these images using Illustrator and Photoshop.
No Goal Patrol Badge - Image originally created for a t-shirt, but the cost to produce it was too high, so it ended up here. I have always enjoyed the challenge of replicating different materials in Photoshop.
Blue Guys - Illustration from the 2002-2003 edition of Carolina Court Magazine. This art accompanied an article written by Mick Mixon. I created this "Blue Guy" graphic in Illustrator. I tried to capture the range of emotions a sports caster goes through while covering a game. The character wasn't meant to look like Mick, but he has been known to wear light blue shirts and yellow ties. In case you're wondering, I had not heard of the Blue Man Group when I created this image.
Trade Sign - A fun trade show sign featuring an image of one of the WorldRugbyShop.com employees. I believe this printed at 48" X 48". Created mostly in Adobe Illustrator.
