Dorcy Flashlight - A 3D render of a Dorcy flashlight done to imitate the high-end SureFire brand of flashlights. Just a single 7W LED is the source for the light and should produce around 100+ lumens.

SAAB Viggen - A resurrection of the VIGGEN name plate. This time on a RWD Coupe platform powered by a 2.5l 4 cylinder Turbo.

2015 SAAB 9-3 AERO 3-Door - What I hoped SAAB would have rolled out with if GM hadn't killed them off.
I went off the 2003-2004 generation of 9-3 and pushed it further.
It would be a 3 series competitor with a 2.3l 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. Power would go through a Manual(or Auto) trans to the REAR wheels. A first for SAAB.

Sliver Coupe - A FR coupe I did up to do a bit of exploring of different lighting and shading ideas.

BlueRod - Inspired by Morgan. Old lines meet new-tech.
Straight, hard lines with expressive wheel shrouds gives a classical feel to a thoroughly modern car.

RedCoupe - A super touring coupe in deep red. A traditional "FR" platform layout with some non traditional touches such as a large side exhaust and a large rear diffuser to bring a sense of seriousness power. Side exhausts are awesome anyways!

Browns Shoe - Shoe inspired by the Cleveland Browns. Requested by a family member.
More of this mini project will be available soon with additional views.

Browns Shoe - A fleshed out concept of the Cleveland Browns Shoe

SuperLime - The form and design language should look familiar to most. Went the way of the Lambo with extra aggression and chisel-cut line work.
Based off a pencil sketch.

Super Orange - Inspired by the all the new renditions of the classic Jag E-Type, but with some different twists see in Jag's most recent creations at Frankfurt auto show. Smooth, Simple, Sleek.
Based of a pencil sketch.

SuperCoupe2 - For this, I tried a shorter wheelbase (spacing of 2.5 instead of the traditional 3 for a sports car) for a short and stout stance. As a result the wheels appear larger in proportion to the car. Done in Photoshop and based of a pencil sketch.

SuperRed2 - Played with the surfacing and broke up the form a bit using both surface changes and color. Rendered in Photoshop.

Shooting Break 1 - I have always been a fan of the "Shooting Break" body style used by the BMW Z3 M Coupe and the Ferrari FF, among a few others. It is an odd looking style but it adds a welcome dose of practicality to an otherwise unpractical super-sports car. This is my take on the body style.

SuperCopper - Inspiration taken from the Classic Cobra and Aston Martin. Based off a pencil sketch and scanned into Photoshop. Playing with the shape and form.

Trail Shoe - Playing with adding textures into the render. Wanted the out-sole to be a prominent feature to convey a sense of grip.

Basketball Shoe - figured I would give car render a rest ad picked a sketch out of my shoe sketchbook to render. Leather texture used and incorporated into the render.

SuperBlue - Two-tone Blue and Gray. Done off a pencil sketch in Photoshop. The wheels were design and rendered separately.

Supercoupe - A play with the surfacing and line work. Broke the car up into 3 visual sections to show the 3-box foundation. From pencil sketch, to Illustrator, to Photoshop.

Red Super Car - A more detailed rendering of and earlier pen and paper sketch. I was trying to get a bit more expressive with the line-work and stay loose. The wheels and brakes were separate files brought together, then added to the final render. Done in PS.

Shadow - Playing with positive light.

Green - This very Aston Martin-ish render was done in Photoshop, based off an earlier sketch. More play with color.

Red2 - Another render using color. Short wheelbase to exaggerate the body lines and wheels. Based off an earlier line sketch.

Copper - Another render done to play with color. Based of an earlier sketch, then finished up in Photoshop. Started with a base color and applied shading and highlights.

Red - Dumped the usual gray for a color base. The color made the rendering easier.

4/15/11 - A couple of quick sketches done on two different power-train layouts.

4/15/11 Boat2 - My second powerboat. A race boat inspired, single seat, close cockpit, compact design.

4/15/11 - More quick side views to get loose. Playing with proportion and vehicle type.

4/15/11 Boat1 - The first boat sketch. A two seat, outboard power boat. Inspired by cigarette boat designs, but brought down to a more manageable size and layout.

4/15/11 Headlight - A close-in sketch of a car headlight. Twin projector, HID beams with small LED DRL. Turn signals on lower fascia and the corner of the housing.

Spyder II - A second spyder done in a different rendering style then my usual, with the use of more color.
Based off an earlier sketch.

3/26/11 - Revisiting shoes. Keeping them quick. Relearning techniques and proportions.

3/24/11 - A quick play on classic body styles and wheel bases. Blue Varathin.

3/20/11 - Two Luxury land yachts. A refreshing change from constant sports/super cars.
(Done in blue Varathin, but the scanner refused to scan colors...)

3/20/11 - Rear 3/4 and side view. More practice with quick, loose 3/4 sketching and relating it back to a clean side view.

3/20/11 - Getting back into quick and loose 3/4 views. Rough early sketches. Playing with different ways to deal with the rear fascias.

3/12/11 - Two quick side views. Two different layouts. Two different varathins.

Spyder (3/5/11) - A render of my earlier roadster sketch. Been wanting to render it, but only got around to it today.

3/10/11 - Quick sketches to just get loose.
More play with rear 3/4's.

3/4/11 - A couple quick side views.
Just playing with different body styles and arrangements.

2/25/11 - Small refinements in style and technique. Focusing on the speed of the sketch. Accuracy is improving on 3/4 views.

2/24/11 - More rear 3/4 views. Getting my head around a new kind of drawing style. More loose, very quick and free. Also playing with angles and forms. Defusers remain.

2/22/11 - Loose & quick sketch of rear 3/4 views.
Trying a different way of tackling 3/4 views and showing form.
Many rear defusers...

2/20/11 - Very quick and loose sketches to play with my new varathins and pilot fine-liner.
They turned out better then I thought.

2/14/11 - Quick sketch of some different layout and body types.
The first is a MR layout, the second is a Roadster/Spyder style with a shorter wheelbase.

2/16/11 - A quick, rough sketch of a front and rear 3/4 views.
Varathin on Bond paper.

SAAB Sonett (2/12/11) - A render of my earlier Sonett sketch.
An idea of where a new SAAB Sonett might look like.

SAAB Sonett (2/11/11) - A resurrection of Saab's only two-seat sports car.
A quick sketch done in varathin.

2/9/11 (Mice) - A quick page of computer mice. An exercise in smooth, ergonomic forms. And to do something other then shoes and cars.

2/8/11 - A side tip-up. One of the few time I have tried this angle.

2/6/11 - This Merc meets Porsche render looks more like an illustration with soft gradient changes.
Based off an earlier sketch.

2/4/11 - Merc meets Porsche?
Playing with iconic forms and wheelbases. Quickly done in varathin.

2/3/11 - More quick Shoes for more practice.
These are primarily driving shoes.
Proportions and forms are getting better.

2/2/11 - Quick shoe sketches with a dash of color.
Practicing on the proper proportions for shoes.

2/1/11 - A quick sketch page of cars.
Playing with proportion and vehicle type.
After drawing primarily 2-seater sports cars, 4-door sedans seem like school buses...

Nike Driving Shoe (1/29/11) - A fast render of an earlier sketch.
Large Velcro strap for quick and easy ingress and egress.
Little to no sole for better peddle feel and flexibility.

V12 Vanquish S - Concept 3
1/10 Scale

Shoes (1/29/11) - A quick page of shoes.
These are inspired by driving shoes.
Low-profile and narrow soles for better flexibility and feel.

1/28/11 - Rear 3/4.
3/4 views are my "Achilles Heel" when it comes to car design, but you have to start somewhere and practice makes perfect.
Rear 3/4s come easier then front 3/4s, for me.

1/26/11 Nike Shoe - Took a stab at drawing up a shoe, showing different views. A quick sketch to get a feel for the proportions.
Kept the design a simple, street shoe, where the material/color selection can be the focus.

1/25/11 - FR base, 3 wheel spacing.
Inspiration can be said to be from the AMG Black line.
Quick pencil sketch.

Shooting Break 2 (1/25/11) - Stuck on the Shooting Break idea.
Small tweaks to surfacing and cosmetics.
Varathin on Marker paper.

Shooting Break - A digital render of the Shooting Break sketch.
Left to look soft to show matte-like finish.
Wheels left sketchy.

1/22/11 - Quick Shoes.
Most are low profile with thin soles for greater tactility.
Just seeing how easily the proportions fall to hand.

1/21/11 - Top: FR base at 3.5 wheel spacing.
The longer wheelbase allows for a sleeker, lower appearance.
Done in prismacolor pencil and marker.
Bottom: MR base at 3 wheel spacing.
Influence taken from the new Lambo "Sesto Elemento".
Done in pencil.

1/21/11 - Top: FR base, 3 wheel spacing.
Better portions with clean, simple lines.
Influence from Aston Martin. (You should see a lot of Aston influence in most of my FR cars.)
Bottom: A FR base with 3 wheel spacing, hatchback.
This style could be labeled as a "Shooting Break" body style.

Car1 - A quick sketch of a FR format sports car.
