I was born in Riga, the capital city of Latvia, Europe. It was in 1999 when my professional career began in “Īve”, a major workshop in Riga. I started out as a woodcarver's assistant for several locally known and highly reputable masters. While I learned and mastered different woodcarving techniques there, I specialized in early baroque-style ornamental carvings. Over time, as the demand for woodcarver's profession decreased, in order to earn my living, I had to look for other creative jobs. Now I live in Luxembourg, but I visit Latvia to participate in art exhibitions. My inspirations come from all sorts of stuff that I come across as I walk through my life. Big things remain for a big artists, but since I create small things, I get inspired by a little things.
