Valerie Rose Weilert

I currently work at Under Armour as Footwear Designer II creating technical running footwear ranging from everyday trainers to designing on record setting track spikes.

A UA designer is responsible for creating intelligent and beautiful footwear that performs at the highest level for all runners and their goals - these products are informed and inspired by our consumers gathered through in depth interviews. We correlate the runner needs with thoughtful product experiences that enhance and transform the run.

Prior to UA and Brooks I worked on illustrations, catalog layout, packaging and print work for action sports products ranging from helmets to accessories. motion graphics for blockbuster movies, product design for housewares and professional grade tools, as well as in- house graphics and packaging. In the short time I have been out of school I have had the opportunities to significantly progress in my career through the variety of projects in multiple industries.

My goal is to continue to develop and learn new design skills. I am working my way to becoming a well rounded designer with exposure to multiple design disciplines that better tell the story and enhance the design process and solve real problems. I am happy to continue my path in the sports design industry so I may combine my outside passions with my profession.
