    Vyasateja or VT as he is better known as, is an industrial designer specializing in product experience. Since moving away from corporate design in 2013, where he had the opportunity to work with large fortune 500 companies and leading design studios, he has worked globally in the US, HK, China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and India where he founded Analogy. Formed from a deep appreciation and personal affliction to metaphors and examples to inspire creativity, analogies became a passion for VT to create surprising and interesting results. After graduating with a Masters in Industrial Design from North Carolina State University, USA in 2007, VT lived and worked in the US, before traveling around the world collaborating on various projects. As a teacher helping students with visual communication he has helped many students understand the importance of contrast, surprise, and hidden artifacts in Design. He has received international design awards and patents, including the industry, IBDC, IBD award, Singapore Design Award, and currently, VT designs for various global clients such as Panasonic, Amazon, Marvel, Cellairis and other leading companies who are passionate about creating breakthroughs in product and user experience. He also collaborates with numerous start-ups from the US, Asia, and Europe. His projects are featured in leading international design blogs. VT's foremost interests are based on creating interesting new avenues in how products are experienced by people and the underlying emotions that are triggered. His work and experiments continue offline when he has time to explore various different places and is a big advocate of global design, drawing inspiration from cultures around the world. With Analogy, he plans to create a diverse and well-rounded ensemble of specialists and is focussed on creating a studio culture that is respectful and observant of various cultures globally.

      On a day to day basis i was involved in working on independent projects along with mentoring a team of junior designers, task assignments, project planning and scheduling. With a key focus on new product ventures and joint collaboration with external designers and firms from all over the world, i was involved in providing creative feedback and direction in the form of project briefs, inspiration boards, design feedback and portfolio management.

      My responsibilities also included traveling overseas to work with vendors, developing good design awareness and workflow, at the same time ensuring speed to market by T1 approvals on the ground. Working together with Engineering and sourcing groups, i also co ordinate production and helped in maintaining design integrity when the product phase transitioned into manufacturing.

      Designing the next generation of product accessories for case-mate using industrial design, user research and manufacturing with a goal to maintain speed and innovation, bridging Design and engineering, complete product development from sketch to manufacturing, managing changes and revisions on product lines, color studies, material specs, assembly instructions, quoting, verbal and visual communication in terms of mock ups with manufacturing, finding new manufacturers.

    • Adjunct professor/Teaching Assistant

      Taught Visual communication and ideation. Focus on emphasizing thinking along with sketching. Taught basics like light, color, perspective, line quality, stability, warmup sketching exercises.

      Presented step by step rendering instructions with traditional media like pencil, marker and pastel. Also taught how to sketch figurines, building on basic shapes and forms, combining basic shapes and shadows.
