I serve as the Safety Data Visualization Manager in the Data Management/Customer Support Division, Knowledge Management and Safety Promotion directorate, Commander, Naval Safety Center (NAVSAFECEN). The Safety Data Manager collects and analyzes studies on safety mishap; hazard, survey, and inspection information to create representations to visually communicate information to both wide and targeted audiences, through a variety of electronic and print media. Designed a variety of visual information products in the form of infographics, dials and gauges, geographic maps, spark lines, heat maps, and detailed bar, pie and fever charts to of promoting safety awareness and policy guidance. I have coordinated and participated in the planning and development of visual information requirements in computer graphics, mobile applications, electronic publications (ePUB), digital publishing, animation, and other digital technologies. Created, implemented, and uphold new publishing processes too efficiently produce multiple formats suitable for web use or print. I have researched new graphic design technologies to enhance production, quality, and make new media available to safety stakeholders. Have work the organization with operations analysts, data managers, public affairs specialists and subject matter experts to maintain and adjust the current report production system to produce material for print and digital publications.

Prepares original designs, layouts, and finished artwork for a wide variety of organizational, technical, and general support materials of a complex nature.
Advises and provides guidance and training to other illustrators, management, and customers.
Creates original artwork utilizing computer graphics software.
Researches and recommends equipment, materials, and software to meet current and future production needs. Produces and assists in producing materials that support the commander's public affairs goals.
Create preliminary sketches or mock up for production for customer’s approval.
Compose and complete a variety of limited artwork in full color, monochromatic or black and white. Operate electronic input and output devices, interactive and graphic design equipment in performance of illustrating duties. Prepare and layout detailed final graphical illustrations, presentations and diagrams for use in briefings as visual presentations.
Develops free-form and general artwork consistent with required functional aids and technical support. Create imaginative illustration of conceptual situations or ideas when no identical concrete subject matter is available. Determine best method of portrayal, style, and format, including order and amount of detail.
Advise on the technical advantages and disadvantages of various formats, styles, media, and methods of production. Researches new technologies and cost effective methods to meet changing requirements or customer needs. Works as a Visual Information Specialist in providing graphic arts development and support.in solving design problems to created illustration from written, verbal instructions and samples provided by the client.
-Creating visual solutions for VA client needs in the print, exhibit, digital, and developing enhance the visual aspects of publications, exhibits, or presentations. Selecting photographs and illustrations to be used in materials.
-Layouts and design, two and three-dimensional exhibit panels, or presentation materials/posters.
-Design files using the MAC and PC platforms have complete working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Illustrator.
-I have complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

I serve as the Visual Information Specialist in providing printed and electronic materials such as, brochures, letterheads, envelopes, certificates, attendance cards, posters, flyers, business cards, stickers, signs, note pads, labels, photography, video or video editing, and other marketing materials for the US Army Corps of Engineers brochures. Established positive working relation with Supervisor and ACE-IT team member and District customers. Execute, e-mails, phone calls, for customer assistance in a timely manner. Participated in phone conferences and one on one or group meetings with customers on various projects. Fully engage in the use Adobe CS6, design and production suite, and Corel Draw graphic suite, software, Microsoft Office and proprietary software. Presented solutions that contributed to the success of ACE-IT, VI initiatives. Consolidated efforts with other Districts to saving time and cost effective for processing logo for EROC. Used desktop computers and adjoining hardware such a Kodak or Nikon negative scanner, AGFA flatbed scanner, CD recorder to archive large volumes of image for future use. Read PCMCIA card from digital cameras, print photos by using KODAK and Fuji printers. I digitally color corrected and manipulated photograph, remove unwanted background, or combine features from different photograph with the aid Adobe Photoshop software. I have laminated large prints and mounted them on foam core. Have assisted the work order clerk by answering the phone giving direction and information to clients who want to get a DA photo taken. Help trained other photographers to use Adobe Photoshop, resolve basic computer problems in using film and flatbed scanners, or down loading images from their digital cameras.
