Wasif Hussain

I am part of Qaleen team. It's an eCommerce business with sells exquisite handmade carpets to Pakistani market.

My responsibilities are to create new carpet design which belongs to a contemporary household. Currently, I am working on two collections of handmade rugs and flat weaves for winter 2016. As a Head of Design, I also look after all our marketing efforts.

I joined the prestigious fashion brand Zara Shahjahan for their upcoming furniture and product line. I was heading this new venture and building a team, developing production processes and off course designing all the new interior accessories that we will be doing in this new domain of the existing brand.

But due to lack of financial capital they had to drop the idea and postpone it till they are able to generate the funds needed for this.

I worked at a USA based company in their Marketing department as an offshore resource. As an Art Director, i was responsible for 3 companies for their promotional and marketing material.Which includes Print Design, Web & Social Media or even Product Design. I was responsible for coming up with designs for any required media type. I assigned and allocated tasks to other design team members.

Working with and overseeing a team of Software developers was also a part of my job apart from working within the marketing department.

I was responsible for coming up with new concepts and ideas for their branding a range of products. Also develop material for the subsequent media campaigns. As an Art director i also took care of their Video productions, preparing mood boards and finalizing layouts.

I worked as a Graphic Designer/ 3D Artist. Although it was for a brief period of time but I learned many new things.

Worked at iDcreations as a part-time and then a full-time employee. The Company makes TVCs for multiple corporate clients. It was a great experience with working with such a company.
I was responsible for looking after the theatrical aspect of the production of the TVCs. Where I would employ my experience in performing arts and fine arts in assisting the Director.
