I am a workplace consultant and space planner at Alexi Marmot Associates. I advise clients on how to create new workplaces, and how to make better use of existing ones. I help clients throughout the design process, writing briefs, conducting space occupancy surveys and floorplan analyses, and carrying out post occupancy evaluations. Our aim is evidence-based design.

Previously, I have worked in academia for 15 years, with substantial experience in teaching and research in management and social sciences, in particular in the areas of HRM, Employment Relations, Organisational Behaviour, Strategic Management, and research methods. I was programme director for a degree programme, published about 20 books and articles, and edited a journal.

I have studied architecture and social sciences in Germany, France, and the UK, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
