I worked for Production Partners during the early stages of the company's growth in the role of Industrial Designer. I was directly involved with the expansion of the business and was tasked with a number of duties including concept generation, styling, client presentations, graphic design, packaging design, design for manufacture and project management.

The majority of my work was in the field of personal electronic devices, device accessories, and POP displays for industry leading brands. Given the diverse nature of our clients and supplier access I was also involved in a much broader range of projects working on the design and development of products, including anything from medical aids to household fittings.

Being part of only a small team of Industrial Designers within the company my duties were completely hands on, working directly with our clients as well as onsite with our vendors in China throughout the design, development and production of each project.

Communication and articulating our requirement was a critical part of my role, specifically with the supplier management team, quality control team, and production line workers. Throughout my time with the company working in China I was also able to develop my Chinese language skills to a professional proficiency level, often solely relying on Chinese to communicate and manage production with some vendors.
