I design and build furniture that explores the interaction from a design perspective, balancing form versus function, referencing tradition as I strongly believe in furniture made to last a lifetime. My inspiration, a fusion of old world knowledge of materials and processes and the modern day technology; are reflected in my designs. Functionality, simplicity and beauty are the trademarks of my handcrafted furniture.

My first love remains designing for children, not just furniture but toys too. My varied interests stem from a creative spirit that is unpredictable and uncontained.

The work at RF square involved designing one of a kind concept stores for leading fashion and clothing brands. Responsibilities included client requirement gathering, ideating and providing multiple concepts, coordinating and supervising on site for complete execution of projects.
Design work included softer issues relating to the front end of the store design which were furniture, display systems, lighting, flooring, and the subsequent civil work for the site.
Intensive development was also undertaken relating to systems design for displaying and stacking merchandise as the back end of retail, basically fixture design. I worked in conjunction with a team of engineers to develop these systems.

A series of kinetic toys conceptualized using household waste and simply designed for easy make by children. The process of making the toys was developed into a 12 episode children’s film to be broadcast on Channel POGO, Star Network. The project continues to enjoy viewer ship on POGO.
Each 5 minute film gives a step by step instruction of how to convert waste into kinetic toys. Using basic principles of physics, simple objects can be transformed into magical toys. The films emphasize on using the imagination of a child to convert everyday mundane things and help save the environment in the process.
