About
University of Cincinnati's DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art and Planning) Program provided me a solid foundation of understanding process and practice. This has allowed me to develop a broad range of skills and sensibilities. I adapt and preform at a high level in just about any design environment.
My art direction and managerial experience at a weekly newspaper has prepared me to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high level of quality and attention to detail. This has also made me sensitive to the needs of my co-workers and value clear communication.
My interests are broad in the design sense. My strengths lie in concept development, typographic layout, illustration, organization, and being able to work with groups & others effectively. -

Snappets fabricate a line of dinosaur puppets for children and custom Snappets for non-profits and businesses. Snappets are paper toys that make noise!

Designer/IllustratorGlendale, CASep 2001 - Present (24 years 9 months)Clients include Green Street Ads, Pasadena, CA, where I worked closely with principal designer on a logistics application. For the retail/distribution company 33third.com I have fabricated a marketing campaign utilizing print and online resources. Maple Green Realty in Los Angeles, CA was provided with a new logo and print collateral. For Skill House Learning, an English as a Second Language (ESL) education company, I designed their new print collateral as well as social media content.

Art Director and Production ManagerHonolulu, HIMar 2006 - Dec 2007 (1 year 9 months)Supervised and directed three designers as Production Manager for “Honolulu’s Weekly Alternative.” I was responsible for the timeliness of ad representatives and editorial contributors as well as layout of paper. I illustrated the majority of cover art and successfully reformatted paper from Quark to a more efficient InDesign template.
