Zuzana Nemeth Serbakova

Cooperated on several projects with children footwear brand and manufacturer. Designing children footwear included research and concept proposal, design and sketching, construction and pattern making to development of a sample.

As shoe designer I was responsible for the overall operation of the footwear category, from concept to final product, I worked in close cooperation with RTW womenswear designers. My role included research and proposing concepts and ideas, design and development, sketching, visualisations and technical drawings, development of prototypes and sampling process till final production and quality check of products. My workload also included communication with manufacturers and supplies, sourcing materials and components, visiting fairs, planning time schedules for sampling and production, entering orders and related communication.

Worked as an external footwear designer of sneakers and rubber boots, my role included trends research, sourcing materials, designing women footwear and also proposing a construction solution and correcting prototypes.
Within this cooperation I experienced specifics of moulded rubber technology as well as got a deeper insight in sports and leisure industry.

Worked as junior design assistant, researching trends, sourcing leathers and shoe components, did design and technical drawings. Assisted senior designer to develop storyboards and presentation to the head and retail. Experienced the whole process of creating a collection within a design team and gained deeper insight in the production process.

Completed an internship within Last Shoes at OPS London whilst studying, where I have assisted the Design team to research trends, prepared mood-boards, sourcing of leathers and trims for footwear, design drawings and spec sheets, communication with Asian factories, handling samples. Also assisted with making lookbooks and visual merchandising at Pure London. I have really enjoyed the internship as I learned a lot within the team of talented colleagues and experienced the whole process of creating a collection, from an inspiration to the final product.
