Mid-Century Modern SoundBox
I worked with CD-adapco to develop visuals for their simulation software. I utilized my knowledge of 3D modeling software and UX design to create visuals that were be both appealing and functional for their users.
I tutor peer designers and students from various majors at Wentworth. I tutor Solidworks and Rhino modeling as well as the Adobe Creative Suite and other technical skills that I have experience in. By tutoring I have been able to make myself a better communicator and solidify my knowledge of a skill.
My Co-Op at Hasbro was primarily based on SolidWorks modeling and figuring out how to make conceptual designs work through mechanisms. My workflow involved receiving concept sketches from designers and then creating sketches of mechanisms to achieve the end goal. I would model these mechanisms for 3D printing and then assemble them for verification. I was able to work from the engineers perspective and work with designers to achieve the results that they were looking for. I strengthened my sense of housing design, assembly methods, and mechanical skills while at Hasbro.
I worked with Motiv remotely or in-house to assist in modeling and rendering new concepts upon request.
While at Motiv I developed my overall design skills and was able to strengthen my 3D Modeling skills significantly. I was responsible for modeling new consumer products using sketches or reference images and then create renderings using Keyshot. I was also involved with some preliminary design sketches and the creation of presentations for clients. I was able to use my 3D modeling skills and work with the graphic design team to create photoreal point of sale images for clients.
While Co-op'ing at TomTom I was responsible for creating visual assets for both consumer facing applications and internal applications. I was also involved in problem solving for the user experience using visual mockups and workflow wireframe mockups.
