Creatively Confidence has been my state of mind for the last 15 years as an Industrial Designer. I focus on the user, the situation, the needs, not always knowing what a solution will be before I begin any effort. Which can be hard to hear, and say, when asked, “How would you redesign this widget”. I uncover insights from consumer feedback, observational research, self-testing, and solicited feedback. I am NOT afraid of failure. I use it as a tool to build my way to successful solutions. I convert the theoretical ideas into a physical form for testing. Empathy is a mindset, that if we believe in, will carry us from our love of design to love of our community. Seeing the world through someone else’s eyes, while standing in their shoes, will serve the world and make it a better place, not just the bottom line of our business. I am optimistic, even when the odds are stacked against me. I stand strong, develop relationships, empathize, and build consensus in order to unify the team. I am focused on what could be, not the obstacles that impede progress.
