Our design framework was shaped by on-going effort to migrate City of Seattle site's to Bootstrap development framework.
Previous Experience: Spreadsheet with 6 worksheets that made data entry difficult and prone to error.
In requirements phase, we created flow diagrams to simplify data collection between consultants and City of Seattle administrative team. We also worked closely with end users to create and validate the flows that best supported their approach.
Wireframe: Shows how user select a project to begin creation of new report. Content is dynamically presented based on what users select.
Wireframe: On sign-in, users view a summary of all their reports in progress or submitted invoices.
Visual Comp: When users first visit site, they clear instructional content and call to action for entering project details.. After the users start a project, they view a dashboard summarizing all their projects in a table.
Visual Comp: Shows a summary of all activities reported on a specific project. As consultant completes activities, they are summarized on this page. After consultant has finished project, they submit this for review and payment as an invoice.
