Justin Collado

As an Industrial Designer I work with a team of talented designers and engineers to further Q-Tran's product design mission by creating innovative and beautiful lighting products. Working with our LED products and factory machinery to create both consumer and commercial lighting.

Focused on product development, technical marketing, 3D modeling, prototyping, rendering, assisting MFG, creating technical drawings, and assisting marketing by developing the brand guidelines and design langauge of Q-Tran.

Paid Industrial Design Intern Position, duties entail but not limited to 3D modeling, product research, developing presentations, thumbnail sketching, and creative direction

Through this position I have increased my interpersonal skills, gained experience in managing clients, model making, 3D rendering, team management , and I also had to learn and become proficient with Fusion 360, Modo, and all the Adobe suite programs.

This is position was created with the set goals of growing me as a versatile Industrial designer with the experience and skills that of a professional designer

Duties focused on assisting guests and students by providing information about the campus, providing friendly assistance to residents and communicating to students to make their dorm life simpler and more comfortable. A position that has honed my leadership and interpersonal skills while also strengthening my public speaking skills.

Currently enrolled as a junior Industrial Design student, education focused on 3-D modeling, sketching, model making, CAD programs, Keyshot, and Adobe programs.

My duties entailed assisting club members, handling money, and waiting tables. We frequently had to accomplish our goals by working as a team whenever setting up for special events at the country club through this position I gained skills and experience with leadership and team work. Another important task was being able to communicate with members in a friendly manner to create a better experience for the customer which I did proficiently.

An advanced Arts Program held by Long Island University, I received AP credits from this course while also enhancing my sketching and painting abilities. The course included the sketching of live models and for each portrait session we would only be given 10 minutes to finish the entire sketch, furthering my efficiency in being able to do quick but quality sketches.

The Junior law program was summer Program at Hofstra University where I was trained in public speaking and also given a brief education of the court of law.
