Training at NBU towards a Bachelor degree starts with a general university training in the first year to ensure a broad academic basis and an interdisciplinary attitude. The emphasis is on the languages and computer literacy. Students are given the opportunity to develop their effectiveness and assess their potential, allowing them to make educated choices about their future development by exploring their own abilities and interests. The second year provides general and fundamental training for prospectives specialists from groups of related professions as well as extends their interdisciplinary training. This saveguards students against becoming narrow specialists who could not communicate with professionals from other fields and who might encounter difficulties with changes in the job market. The third and the forth years offer more specialized interdisciplinary academic education, giving students the opportunity to work successfully in various social and professional fields. The duration of the study plan is 4 years (8 semesters). To complete this level students must accumulate 240 credits. After successful thesis defence (10 additional credits) they are awarded a Bachelor Diploma.
