Veronica Martinez

Currently I am a Senior Graphic Designer for Berkadia. I am responsible for designing print and digital marketing material for multiple markets across the country. I work and communicate with a large design team here in Phoenix and throughout the East and West Coast teams.

I was a Graphic Designer for BASIS.ed Arizona, Texas, Washington, D.C. and Baton Rouge charter schools. I design advertising materials used for print and web for corporate and school support. Materials include location maps/floor plans, logos, annual reports, brochures, fliers, display banners, web banners, e-blasts, T-shirts, magazine ads, and promotional pieces for the company.

I was the Sr. Graphic Designer for the Sunday East Valley Tribune and Wednesday Ahwatukee Foothills Tribune. My responsibilities included layout, design and pagination for both weekly and monthly publications which included ad design for all in-house newspapers and magazines.

My responsibilities include designing material for current and potential customers, as well as mock up ideas for internal staff which include, logos, booklets, posters, cards and marketing material while maintaining customer service at all times. I communicate daily with sales representatives, customers, accounting, production team and vendors. I coordinate the production flow for digital projects from start to finish and shipping destinations, while enforcing the Artisan Colour quality standards.

As an On-Site Lead Graphic Design Coordinator, I am responsible for managing the Brandmuscle Arizona Production Department at Alliance Beverage Distribution and enforce the company’s branding standards. I managed a team of designers and production assistant. My duties include collaborating with the Alliance Beverage VIP of Marketing for local campaigns that are distributed throughout Arizona, including retail stores, restaurants, venues, special events and all vendors. I train new sales staff on our internal tracking system, coordinate execution of print and all projects, design ads for our customers and marketing collateral for the sales team, while committing myself to quality customer service.

As the Marketing/Boutique Manager I was responsible for creating and managing all marketing material including logos, brochures, fashion labels, advertisements, website images, and in-house forms I also styled and directing photo shoots. I was in charge of sales transactions, inventory, customer service, staging, and managing the boutique.

As a Graphic Designer/Production Coordinator I was responsible for monthly publications throughout the U.S. This included complete electronic magazine layout, designing feature stories and editorial layout, proofing, photo retouching, file organization and archiving. I also managed the design staff and production schedule.
Rewarded $125 dollars for producing the most publications.

I was the Art Director for the Phoenix Auto Guide weekly publication. My responsibilities included magazine start-up, establishing production department work flow, assist in writing in house SOP training manual, designing media kits, multiple creative ads, publication layout, pagination, & sending publication via FTP to the printer. I managed and organized all active & archived documents, photos, & art work that is in house or provided. I maintained productive communication directly with Ad Agency Designers, the Printer, Sales Reps & Sales Manager/Publisher, Regional Manager, Distribution Manager, Production Assistants, and the Director of Production. Achieved the Art Director of the Year Award.

Responsible for designing visual display case for analytical lab, and maintain freelance opportunities. Sample preparation with Tripod Mechanical Polish technique for Transmission Electron Microscopy and Focus Ion Beam. Communicate with lead scientist and Device Engineering on specific work related issues and jobs that are submitted for analysis. Certified to operate equipment: Focus Ion Beam (FIB) FEIX830 with Microsoft application, DISCO SAW, and Precision Ion Polish GATAN. Achieved a Bravo Award: For excellent performance and seven years perfect attendance. Achieved a Manufacturing Excellence Award: For quality performance as a CDR associate, Quality Champion Award: Saving ten thousand dollars of production, became a team member of QS9000: Improved production process in clean room environment. Became a Certified Emergency Response Team Member for Motorola.
