Chris D. McCoy, Ph.D. is an experienced mechanical design engineer that is passionate about helping people and companies bring their product ideas to life. Chris is an established expert in rapid prototyping, product design and design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA). He teaches several subjects related to his experience at UC Berkeley: Precision Manufacturing, Sustainable Manufacturing and Hands-on Rapid Prototyping. He's helped over 1000+ customers transform their napkin sketches into mechanical engineering designs that could be digitally manufactured via additive manufacturing (3D printing), laser cutting or CNC machining.
