Chris Pinches

Reporting directly to the creative director, my responsibilities include all
industrial design aspects of XO’s wearable technology product line including
integrating LED technologies and sensing devices into hard and soft goods,
market research, trend analysis, sketching, form generation, rendering,
creative problem solving, Solidworks and Alias modelling, Hypershot
rendering, prototyping, fabrication and finishing.

My project management duties included managing a core team of designers
& engineers working on simultaneous live projects, project planning, running
project budgets, liaising with fabricators and suppliers

Industrial designer working on a number of consumer products including
household washing and drying systems, child care products and medical
devices.

My main duties involved part-managing my own projects, innovative problem
solving, exterior styling, solidworks modelling, working with the other design
& engineering team members, sourcing components, prototyping, fabrication
and testing.

Junior designer at Nissan Design Europe in the realisation team in London.
Working with exterior stylists and modellers in order to turn sketches into full
size and quarter scale prototypes.

My role included a mix of everything from sketching, Photoshop rendering,
Alias modelling, to working on modelling and finishing 1/4 scale and full size
prototypes in both automotive styling clay and high density foam and 3D
printed parts, finishing with Dinoc film and 2 pack based paint schemes.

Designing various components for Alancos range of Crop Sprayers.

My main project was developing a new cab exterior design, integrating lighting and air conditioning components and interior cab environment development.

Exterior designer on sports and racing cars, chassis and suspension design, engineering & fabrication.

My main project involved designing the exterior of the new Aeon model due for release, designing and specifying components and developing the chassis and suspension designs.
