Working in a fast paced environment, I collaborated with the apparel teams to develop the Monsoon handwriting into a successful commercial footwear range. Key Achievements: * Created the Monsoon footwear handwriting over Main collection, Occasion, Hanging, Beach, Fusion, Bridal, Nightwear & Originals. Key Responsibil it ies: * Regular research to develop seasonal creative direction, trend overviews, colour & mood boards which I presented to senior teams. * Push creative boundaries whilst delivering commercial product true to the Brand DNA. * Deliver designs in a clear & concise format to present at design reviews & brief suppliers/factories according to critical path. * Source new suppliers at European Fairs. * Establish & maintain strong supplier relations. Frequent supplier visits both in the UK & abroad to our Indian & Far Eastern factories. * Support Buying Team - range building clear monthly inputs, true to the company vision. * Liaise with technical support on fittings & aesthetic changes.

Responsible for identifying emerging trends relevant to customer needs, creating catwalk & trend reports for future seasons designing & hand sketching detailed drawings, producing CADS & tech-packs for the sampling & production of Ladies & Kids collections. I worked with Novi's product developers to deliver well-balanced ranges on time to many UK high street brands - from Kurt Geiger & Zara through to Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams & the supermarkets. I travelled to the Far East each season to oversee development, sampling, review proto samples & make pattern corrections.

I set up my own company in 2004 & work freelance designing ladies, kids & men's footwear. I have worked with many different companies & factories since starting Doodleshoe. These include UK brands Monsoon, Marks and Spencer, Mothercare, WGSN, Sunuva & suppliers such as Jade Shoes, Novi Footwear, Laceys Footwear, Renoir Shoes & Matrix Footwear. Most recently, I have worked with unisex children's start up brand Zig + Star - which launched this summer. I designed both their summer & winter ranges & fitted the samples on the foot to make pattern adjustments. I also designed the sole unit & was heavily involved in designing the cute feature shoebox.
