About
Originally studying Fine Art, I found my focus shifting toward a more technical, contemporary design outlet. This led to my education in Industrial Design and ultimately, a career in Footwear Design.
As a Footwear Designer, I am responsible for the creation and development of several product lines under various brands and retailers. Alongside these tasks, I specialize in creating visually captivating presentations centered around brand exploration and trend analysis to enhance the marketing/sales strategies.
While I believe product innovation is key, I have found a new passion in brand-building and conceptualization. I believe that the right brand narrative can speak louder than design aesthetics in a rapidly changing retail environment. -

Bachelor of Science Industrial DesignPhiladelphia University2010 - 2014I Studied Industrial Design at Philadelphia University and in my final semester was granted the Kanbar Award of Excellence for my Design Capstone. The capstone focused on designing a first of its kind trail sneaker specific for Mud Obstacle Race sports. The capstone was an intensive semester long project which spanned from initial concept to fully manufactured design. Integral to the success was working with sponsors, athletes, and design professionals while creating various iterations of the final planned product. Along with this Capstone project I also placed 1st in the 2014 Sprint Design Competition sponsored by Comcast Genome. I led a team as a senior design student where we developed a wearable device and system that works within Comcast’s existing business model while accounting for future trends.

Footwear DesignerHackensack, NJJun 2014 - Present (12 years)As a Seasonal Footwear Designer, I create and develop footwear for Men's & Boys categories under various brands such as Dockers, Perry Ellis, Izod and Dickies and Private Labels for Big Box retailers, Walmart, Macy's and JCPenney's.
I work directly with licensors to sustain brand identity while fulfilling design initiatives across a variety of brand environments
Within a design team, I analyze current and future trend forecasts through competitive shopping and research, while working directly with the sales team to create practical methods of maximizing business and develop new business strategies.
On the Product Development side, I create comprehensive tech packs detailing sketches, pattern, color ways, branding, construction and materializations, while managing each new style in a PLM program. I communicate directly with overseas offices and factories to aid in sample development and on occasion travel overseas to evaluate development first-hand.
